Today, July 22nd, is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the second date of contract negotiations with AFSCME Local 3758. This date comes nearly 2 years after the members of the Timberland Staff Association VOTED to affiliate with AFSCME and WSCCCE Council 2 and a full 14 months after PERC affirmed that the original vote of the membership was valid. The employer fought your right and legal choice to affiliate, they refused to bargain with your chosen representatives, and now they are still fighting your choices by pretending to “protect you” further when they oppose Union Security in your collective bargaining agreement. Makes you feel green doesn’t it?
