We will be collecting nonperishable foods to donate to Lewis County food banks on September 12th at TRL’s annual staff retreat. Look for our van and collection boxes at the Great Wolf Lodge!

Food donation suggestions:

  • tea bags

Volunteer Day at the Glacial Heritage Preserve

The Glacial Heritage Preserve is normally closed to the public. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see an excellent example of the Puget Prairie ecosystem. Only 2.6% of this type of ecosystem still exists today!

Directions to the Glacial Heritage Preserve

From I-5 South:

  • Take exit 95 and continue straight (West) on Maytown Rd toward the town of Little Rock.
  • Follow Maytown Rd until you reach the stop sign in Little Rock; continue straight through the town onto 128th street.
  • At ‘T’ (end of 128th) take a left and follow Mima Creek Rd for 2.7 miles.
  • After passing the Mima nursery, you will see small tractor sign followed shortly by a gravel road and brown sign marking Glacial Heritage preserve.
  • Take a left onto the gravel road.
  • Follow road around corners and through white gate (wait at gate if not open). At 4-way gravel intersection take a right and follow road up the little hill, then stay left and follow road to volunteer house and parking lot.
