Elections will be held April 30, 2017 at the Spring Membership Meeting for AFSCME Local 3758 Base Unit!

WHAT UNION POSITIONS ARE BEING ELECTED?

These positions on the Local 3758 Base Unit Executive Board are open in 2017:

  • Vice President (2 year term)
  • Secretary (2 year term)
  • Thurston Co. Rep. (1 year term)
  • Lewis Co. Rep. (1 year term)
  • Mason Co. Rep. (1 year term)
  • Grays Harbor Co. Rep (1 year term)
  • Pacific Co. Rep. (1 year term)
  • Trustee (3 year term)

Our union is only as strong as its members!

A position on the Executive Board means you get to be involved and informed about your union. You get to help ensure that TRL library employees are treated fairly.

The union members who serve on the Executive Board become trained advocates for union solidarity, and they help members with concerns and questions. They attend the Executive Board meetings in addition to the membership meetings. County reps serve for one year, the Secretary and Vice President serve for two years, and a Trustee serves for three years.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

If you are interested in running for an open position, get in touch with Local 3758 Base Unit President Lhisa Reish!

To help choose the candidates, make sure to attend the April 30th, 2017 Local 3758 Base Unit membership meeting, which will be held at 1:30 PM at the Washington State Labor Council offices at 906 Columbia Way in Olympia, WA [ map ]. That’s where the membership will decide on the open positions.
